About Al Ain Zoo

Founded in 1968 by Sheikh Zayed, Al Ain Zoo strives to serve as a fun destination for all ages, providing entertainment and educational experiences in a natural outdoor environment. Focusing on promoting and implementing conservation programmes for wildlife from arid regions and aiming to provide a complete knowledge of the United Arab Emirates' natural environment, the zoo proudly presents The Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre. The facility combines comprehensive knowledge and learning through interactive exhibits and multimedia, all supported by experienced tour guides. Guests can also enjoy a choice of safaris giving an opportunity to encounter large animals like lions, rhinos and giraffes, as well as smaller yet no less intriguing species like meerkats, dama gazelles and crowned cranes.
